Foundations of Play 

Authentic First hand experiences using food to create volcano explosions.

Intent/Implement/Impact of a scientific volcano activity:

Children at Early Nurture Pre-School are given child led opportunities to develop their curiosity, and increase their confidence. 

 

Through social skills and collaboration with peers children were given the reasonability's to direct their own learning, and creating different ways of making volcanoes explode.

(children gained a further understanding using natural foods can be recycled and used within a curiosity approach learning through play).

Exploring Literacy

Early Nurture Pre-School is proud to see some children are exceeding within the EYFS making rigid progress. They are able to write their name without prompt, can find letters of their name, making great progress.

 

Furthermore the children are able to draw pictures of their family and distinguish mark making through literacy. 

Children also extended their learning by throwing scarp paper into the recycling bins to gain awareness on how paper is recycled, children were fascinated to learn this.

Early Nurture Preschool supports every step and growth Rayaan has made exceptional progress from his starting points he is able to write his name independently.

Deepening Scientific play

British Heart Foundation Day: The children at Early Nurture Pre-School experimented pumping the heart and the seeing the blood circulation around the body through scientific experiments.

 

Children learnt about health and well-being through creative scientific experiments. further learning children will visit a A and E department to look at real life experiences.

Imitating number play

The children at Early Nurture Pre-School explored playing with noodles and writing in Chinese numbers in the sand.

Children reflected on South Koreans visit and how they celebrate Chinese New Year, children were given new ways of using number writing in Chinese.

Children  exploring imagination using sensory play phones

Children have been exploring new ways of communicating with each other, by using intensive interaction using sensory stimulation phones, this activity has been a huge success.

Deepening creativity

Today children explored painting with balloons, learning to balance the balloons and create a collaboration piece of art.

Exploring Expressive and Arts in a new exciting way, this was challenging as they had to keep the balloon still to paint.
