British Values:

We work with children to create preschool rules, such as "inside voices" , "tidy up time,", using colour monsters and the kind tree and discuss why they are important.

Children are supported to understand importance of behaviour expectation rules and the importance of taking responsibility equally.

Children have the freedom to make their own choices and express themselves by voting using their hands up for story time, singing time and snack time to choose snack of the day. We celebrate their individual choices, such as their favourite fruit, and teach them to respect the choices of others.

We celebrate different cultures and festivals at the preschool and learn to treat others with kindness and respect, and learning about and appreciating different cultures and faiths. We have had a visit's from Santa, the local priest sharing the story on Christmas and Easter we use local community and global networks to share their experiences and cultures with the children . We had a visit from south Korean's at the preschool, the local Councillor. Children  Promote British values as a key part of preschool strategy to create a safer preschool for all the children. Children have regular walks in the local community to respect each other and build good relationships with the community.

Fundamental British values are a statutory requirement of the EYFS curriculum. Fundamental British values help our children to positively contribute to the local and national multi-diverse community of Great Britain. We plan  EYFS activities that celebrate and value the modern diversity of the UK. Children went to visit house of parliament to get an insight into the political world at a young age.

Remembrance Day at Early Nurture Pre-School

At Early Nurture Preschool today, we proudly commemorated Remembrance Day as part of our EYFS curriculum, helping our children develop an early understanding of respect, gratitude, and community. Through age-appropriate discussions, creative art activities, and quiet reflection, our little learners explored the importance of remembering those who served and sacrificed for peace. The children made poppy crafts, listened to gentle stories about kindness and courage, and participated in a moment of silence to honour the occasion. This meaningful experience supported their personal, social, and emotional development, while fostering empathy and appreciation within our nurturing learning environment.
